Essai, Inc.

In 2020, Advantest completed the acquisition of U.S. company Essai, Inc., a leading supplier of semiconductor final-test, system-level test sockets and thermal control units. Essai, which is headquartered in Fremont, California, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Advantest America, Inc., Advantest Corporation’s U.S. subsidiary.

Founded in 2003, Essai provides test-related accessories including sockets, thermal control units and other test subassemblies to the semiconductor and other industry segments, including telecommunications, automotive, and medical devices. The company’s custom-engineered and manufactured solutions are designed to meet the most arduous requirements and schedules.
