Cross Domain Analyzer
The U3800 is the industry's first metrology tool to offer phase measurement of two high-frequency signals in a single instrument, allowing operators to determine the phase difference. This new functionality enables quick and accurate detection of reception problems caused by inter-circuit interference or radio wave reflection, making the U3800 ideal for applications ranging from electromagnetic interference (EMI) challenges, to broadcasting and communications.
The U3800 series utilizes a new "X math" (pronounced "cross math") function for comparative analysis of input from two channels. This function displays the waveforms of both signals on a single coordinate plain, enabling operators to see the phase difference between the signals at a glance. Furthermore the U3800 series can be used as spectrum analyzer.

The sample software is for use with the measuring instruments above on the Windows XP, Vista, 7 (32bit or 64bit OS) platforms. For your reference, the sample software available may include a basic instruction manual (English versions may not be available for all sample software).
Advantest is offering the sample software in the format of the following.

Electromagnetic field radiation
To connect a magnetic field probe to RF input and an electronic field probe to the other one, those intermitted and fluctuating radiation noise can be measured respectively. Furthermore, correlation between electric and magnetic field can be shown by real-time comparison with phase synchronization between channels.

Cross polarization discrimination (XPD)
Polarization multiplexed communication is used for effective utilization of radio frequency. Horizontal polarized waves and Vertical polarized waves are transmitted to the same frequency. XPD is one of evaluation items for communication, and “X math” function makes a direct reading of XPD value.
